Need for Speed ProStreet is a ground-breaking Need for Speed experience where you're thrust to compete head to head against the best street racers in a multitude of racing showdowns. While it never catered too heavily to either side of the racing divide, it did offer players an entry-level experience into the often intimidating world of realistic car games. The game is engaging, competitive, and challenging. Need for Speed: ProStreet deviated from the free roaming formula of the previous three. The fact that realistic modern racers tend to forgo extensive damage altogether means ProStreet still holds up in some of these departments to this day.ĭespite its reputation, Need for Speed ProStreet also blended its simulation and arcade racing heritage well.
